WhatsApp calls are finally available on web browser!

Hello there,

for those of you who still use WhatsApp (and who, like me, must maintain contact with their family), now video and audio calls are available on WhatsApp Web!

It’s a huge news for us Linux users, since it was, like, the only thing that was missing. Now, any weird application for WhatsApp on Linux (that were barely just a web browser opened on the WhatsApp tab) can become the equivalent of WhatsApp official app!

The fact that last month Linux market share reached its all-time peak is not a coincidence, in my opinion… Now it could be just a matter of time for Meta to develop (or let people develop) a true, complete and non-web-based application!

I’m not a WhatsApp fan, and I am not congratulating with Meta for that (everyone else allowed video-calls on Linux since 2016), but I believe it’s a little revolution that is worth mentionning!

Right, it like “what would they come up with next”
Now, if only they have simple API so I can have my own application for the chat witout those annoying features.

They probably realized no one wants to download their shitty Electron app just to call people.

No Audi/Video calls on my side with Fireforx v.152.0.6

Considering the fact Meta is a piece of shit conglomerate of seemingly asinine, yet deeply evil practices, they are probably only supporting Chrome/Chromium based browsers.

Still no phone/video option in FFox or WaterFox.

What browser are you using?
