I only installed 2 apps: the first entry and the last entry.
Amazing at the detritus Flatpak drags in. Wasn’t always this way.
General comment: the AUR -bin versions of these apps are subpar (don’t work, barely work, respectively) on my system. Hence my need for the flatpaks.
One day maybe. My approach at the moment is if it’s not in the AUR, I’ll create a PKGBUILD for it myself. If it’s something I’m likely to keep using, I might even push that PKGBUILD to the AUR.
If I encounter a sub-par PKGBUILD, I might provide feedback, and fix it locally if it’s within my capabilities.
The only flatpak I have installed is the Steam client (and it’s associated deps). I hear that the new version in beta will remove the multilib requirement and it can finally move to Extras rep.
Same here, i tried it once and i cannot outstand all the big files on my system. Nvidia drivers for sample, why not use the ones already installed on the system ? Nope i need to download the flatpak version as well. It’s wasting alot of space.
I have Flathub itself installed. I just haven’t needed to install anything that wasn’t available via Arch repos or AUR. I guess I have it ready in case something doesn’t work and then maybe test the Flatpak version.

My relationship with Flatpaks is complicated. On one hand, I like the idea of getting the program directly from the developers, but on the other hand flatpaks are sold as sandboxed and more secure but they are really not
