This question is for those who have used Calligra or are using Calligra. How does it compare to LibreOffice? Is it as feature rich as LibreOffice is? Can Calligra replace LibreOffice for most if not all use cases?
No. It handles the basics well, but lacks the more advanced features of LibreOffice.
never heard of Calligra , so i’m not replying
(yet i am)

It’s KDE’s office suite
ok , don’t use KDE so that explains that
It used to be a great lightweight and modular option, but hasn’t seen much developlment beyond basic maintenance lately.
Back in the day it did have the best support for MS Office formats, while also supporting (and co-developing) ODF well. Partially due to Nokia’s work on it - they used to have it on Nokia N9 phones e.g.
me either but i have heard of and use libreoffice cuz it’s better than paying for ms-office & i think is just as good if not better. i actually had ms-office for free with this computer & wipped it along with windows off this machine. forever for linux, open-source is bettah

Caligra is KDE specific while libreoffice is platform independent. That alone would be a no go for me regarding Caligra.
Libreoffice has a much bigger user community which has a couple of advantages.
Caligra can not save MS document formats.
Caligra has less functionality than libreoffice
I would use neither but if I had to choose one, LibreOffice is the only real option between those two.
Calligra hasn’t been under active development in years.
