What really annoys me about diy builds

I use what comes in the box

Yes i Know. I do too but some processors don’t come with the cooler so i have used some others on amd & Intel such as the Hyper 212 and it includes mounting brackets.

I really don’t understand the ones who don’t. I mean if it’s for overclocking, investing in an aftermarket cooler (not to mention watercooling solution), a more expensive overclock-ready motherboard, the unlocked version of the CPU (if it is the case), negates any cost benefit you gain from running the cpu at higher than paid for performance. At the end of the day it’s cheaper and way less riskier (less stress on all of the parts, smaller possibility of incompatibilities) and less complicated to go for the next CPU performance wise with stock frequency.

The only reason i see for fitting an aftermarket cooler is if the one in the box is too loud.
Right, not all CPU’s come with cooler in the box, but again, if you factor the price of the cooler you need to also get, maybe it makes more sense to buy the next cpu in the line that has a cooler in the box.
