I removed the package on my system with yay
to get rid of the error message that it is orphaned, but I would very much like to get it back. Cannot find it anywhere.
As we do not use the theme anymore the package is currently gone removed from our repository.
You can still find it in the archive.
@solino
Basically you should be able to use eos-downgrade
to install it again.
I just did yay -R grub2-theme-endeavouros
is it safe to assume that each time I get missing AUR packages, they can be deleted?
If the package was an ”official” one and is no more ”official”, then very likely yes.
Not really. That is often the case but it depends what it is. It could be an application you are using or a library needed by an AUR application.
I deleted it in this case, but I will take it on a case-by-case basis with others. Thanks Dalto.
I just read the post above and out of curiosity, what in grub-install
make it not safe for Endeavour to automate ? And even then why do you need to ship vanilla grub ?
