I am waiting for this and I hope the release on GoG comes soon™.
There will be … nsfw … mods.
But I’ll stick to vanilla for the playthrough, for sure.
Up so far, I didn’t regret to have paid the full price, as I was more or less certain that the turn out wouldn’t be the games completion after less than 16 hours or so. No clue when it will be on GOG, or when significant price reductions will come. Steam keys are currently available 25% below retail. And that’s money well spend I’ve to say.
I can wait. I have no problem paying the full price for the game because it’s simply worth it to me and I want to support such great games, of which there are fewer and fewer, at least in my eyes. Of course, I don’t do this for all the games I buy.
But I only buy most games when they are interesting and only when the price is reduced. I also play it vanilla like I did in part 1.
This is how Control has me entering rooms with big open spaces now. I just know I’m about to fight like 10 enemies or more. Hopefully, I only die like twice this time. ![]()
EDIT:
Oh, f—! It’s worse! It’s one enemy. A boss that can fly!
Spoke too soon… It’s a boss who can fly, dodges often, throws stuff at you, and has minions to ensure you can’t hide for too long. ![]()
Long story short: I died. ![]()
Again… x3. ![]()
Crusader Kings 3 for a few months. I’ve been trying to recreate the entire empire of Carpathia.
Oh and also Witcher 3m I just started it again last night, for the umpteenth time. I don’t know what it is with that game but I always give up on it after less than 10 hours… Never finished it. Maybe this time. Maybe by the time I retire…
great game, I found it was just too easy though (apart from some choices til you know what happens aka baby oven etc)
This game looks cool, one day I’ll have the hardware to play it
The game is from 2018, graphics look amazing but the recommended gpu isn’t that insane.
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 with 4GB VRAM minimum (Support of Vulkan 1.1 required)
Yer I’m still running a machine from a year before, looking to upgrade mid year when the sales are on (need something that doesn’t take 50 years to process an image when I try animate stufff)
Doom and Destiny Advanced after thinking this game was just broken on Linux found a solution the other night was quite simple and just needed to install libgdiplus and reboot, loved this when I played it years ago and am happy to have it running again.
Recently, after putting it down for almost 3 years, I finally beat SOMA. https://store.steampowered.com/app/282140/SOMA/
Great game. great atmosphere, soul crushing ending. Easy recommendation, especially if you like cosmic horror or Amnesia styled games.
i don’t play games
but when i do
it’s Solitaire

Bought the WH40K Dawn of War - Anniversary edition cause it was on Steam sale. Comes with all the expansions. I remember playing the crap out of that game on my Dad’s Linux/Windows PC when I was a teenager. Still such a great game. Need to do something about the graphics though. Max resolution was like 1600 x 1200 or something.
Just seeing SOMA mentioned crushes my soul
Dark Ages? That makes no sense, sounds like a plot made by someone completely out of touch with the lore of the other two (reboot) doom games, pretty sure the doomslayer came from another world entirely, at least it was very strongly implied…
And wth is that cover? Pretty sure there were no medieval buzzsaws…
I suppose it still says the dev is id software, but id software is owned by bethesda, and bethesda is owne dby microsoft, and microsoft as of late tends to ruin everything it touches.
Adam Gascoine wrote the original, it doesn’t say if he was involved or not.
Also doom without mick gordon? I mean I suppose finishing move is ok but they never made music like that before. I’m very very on the fence about this, ngl. I won’t buy it unless it’s a confirmed masterpiece, even then I would still hesitate to feed these assholes money though. What they did to Mick Gordon… yeah, they don’t deserve any money even if it’s good.
Didn’t buy subnautica because of how they treated their composer either, but bethesda/id screwed mick gordon over a lot worse than they did.
a lot of the games i’ve been playing recently aren’t fit to be named in polite company ![]()
But i’ve been doing valheim again, experiencing ashlands.
I’ve been thinking about maybe replaying warcraft 3 and frozen throne, those were good games.
@His_Turdness Hey I own those, used to play it too, I think I mostly played dark crusade, there’s another game I should replay, same genre and everything! Maybe we can play multiplayer so I can absolutely wreck you! (Even if I basically barely remember any of the gameplay lol)
Actually playing “Diablo II: Resurrected”. I’m at the beginning of Act IV and killed Mephisto last time I played. ![]()
I enjoyed the previous two games Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, as well as the DLC’s of Eternal. Not everything always has to be about lore, sometimes just a faced paced shooter with a story line is entertaining enough.
Curious to know the names of those games ![]()
The lore in doom is definitely background stuff, but it’s important to me that it remains consistent, it’s possible that they’re not messing up the lore, we don’t know enough about it yet to be certain.
But the way they treated Mick Gordon still bothers me a lot.
I mean there’s a lot of info about this online. It matters a lot to me, 50% of my enjoyment of DOOM was the awesome soundtrack, and they did the composer dirty.
Speaking of dirty…
Dirty dirty games for my fellow men and women of culture
Bunny Black
Karryn’s Prison
Starmaker Story
The Null Hypothesis (by ron chon)
News Desk (by pyorgara)
The Imperial Gatekeeper
Masters of Raana
Cubus (by sexums, wonder what ever happened to that guy, think he started working on normal games instead)
Monster Black Market
Third Crisis
Flipwitch
Desert Stalker
The Last Sovereign
That’s a couple, I’v eplayed all of them somewhat recently…
None of these names sound particularly bad, but well, you know, look them up at your own risk
some of them are free, that last one is even free on steam. Good too, as a jrpg anyhow.
Most of those games are actually pretty decent by some measurement, but all of them are majorly fcked up in some way too.
I could list quite a lot more games like these, I’ve been playing them since i was a teenager.
Satisfactory, Factorio and a few indie games like Death Trash
