What exactly does nvidia-inst do?

I installed my Nvidia drivers with nvidia-inst, but what exactly does it do under the hood?

In terms of packages, are there some packages that covers of what it does?
Also, if I want to install Nvidia drivers the arch-way, what would be the exact equivalent of nvidia-inst?

Detects needed driver & somewhat simplifies installation process:

None. You just follow Arch Wiki:

I don’t get it.
Is it closed source?

Its open source and hosted on EndeavourOS repos.

Thanks.

Does that mean I can install it on pure arch and then use it as I would?
Or is it tailored somehow to EOS?

You’ll have to add the EndeavourOS repo to /etc/pacman.conf

[endeavouros]
SigLevel = PackageRequired
Include = /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist

And also put the mirrorlist at /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist

No. It should work on Arch just fine.
