What do former Manjaro users like about EOS?

Yeah Manjaro was Plan B for my Son’s laptop. As a matter of fact, I need to run updates on it, it’s been a couple of weeks…

Im still using EOS in a vm just because of the hybrid graphics issue. I’ll take the plunge this weekend and see if I can sort out the graphics

It is not necessary to use the offline installer. What is stopping you from using the online installer? You can read more about it here.

Here is exactly the same thing I wrote: it is not always necessary to use a command line because there are some nice out of the box GUI tools.

I’ve only had to install EOS twice so far (the 1st was more of a test), I haven’t tried the online installer yet, because I assumed until now that Xfce also only comes in the vanilla version. I did not want to do that to myself. Now I know that it is not so. Thanks for the link!

If I understood you correctly, you haven’t tried the offline installer yet, but then how did you manage to install the EOS?

Sorry, I wrote it false, I mean ofcourse, I haven’t tried the online installer
