It just means I don’t have to install unknown apps in a VM. I can install them and then revert rather than uninstalling and making a dependancy mess. Nothing mission critical on this PC. I can reinstall in 10 mins and back to youtube doom scrolling I go!
Back to the original topic of distros… KDE Linux is aimed at people like me hence my interest.

Here you could clean orphans to get rid of the crud, although a sudo pacman -Rns somepackage should delete all unused dependencies of a package you uninstall.
How is the command you use to uninstall packages, please?
I understand that but for example I uninstalled libvirt and there were still firewall settings left over etc.
Sometimes I just feel better having an ‘ocd friendly’ clean install and this is a fast way of doing it.

I have understood it so that KDE Linux is their way of offering newest of the new features a testing ground and so that users may have access to them faster than they would get on other distros and so that they can have pure Plasma experience. But they are not going to go proprietary or something like that, simply offering a chance to use “pure” Plasma as they have envisioned it.
