I’ve mostly been using Arch Linux in the past years and did switch for short periods to Fedora, Silverblue and NixOS but then ended up back on Arch Linux. I know we have members here that run other distributions than Arch-based ones, so I thought it would be fun to start a topic where people can share what distribution they are running and why they are using it. I’ve actually been thinking of maybe switching again, but there’s just too high of a chance I’ll start missing Arch Linux so I’m not sure if I’ll do it yet.
Running EOS as main driver as well as Big Linux, MXLinux and Arch. Mint (my first linux OS) is installed also but rarely ever go to it now-a-days.
Have Windows on a USB drive installed for multi-channel audio editing (DTS, SACD, etc.) that I can’t find programs in Linux to do.
Been trying to install Open Suse Leap but their installer is frustrating to say the least when it comes to installing on partitions manually.
Can’t get their ISO to work with Ventoy either.
Currently Ubuntu 26.04, well, because it’s simple and I work in shifts and don’t want to hassle too much currently (it’s also my first distro). Have been thinking to give Fedora a go however.
Arch, Debian Trixie, Fedora 44, openSUSE Tumbleweed and. Not in a particular order.
Though, lately, I am leaning more and more towards Fedora 44.
I don’t use AUR. Neither am I a SuperDuperUser needing the Latest, Greatest & Co.
Everything I do on Arch, I can do in the other three distributions mentioned.
I am not a window manager user, so for me is GNOME all the way.
Cant stand the QT (kute?). It feels like being waterboarded with condensed milk every time I have whipped myself to try and hopefully like it. It’s just about personal chemistry. Nothing else.

EOS has been my daily driver for the past year and I’m sticking with it.
I have several other distros in VMs (Artix, Fedora, Pop OS, Windows10LTSC), but I recently tried AuroraOS (immutable) and I’m tempted to migrate my wife’s laptop from Win11 to Aurora.

Currently Fedora 44. Things work for me.
Arch on my laptops and Debian stable on my servers. I also check other interesting distros like Artix, Obaun, Void and Chimera from time to time.

Not so much using ones in VM as much as just looking at what they have and seeing if I’m missing anything.
I use Debian on my servers as well.
After travelling various routes over the years including, but not limited to, single dual triple even quadruple booting I have finally settled on what I think will be the sweet spot for me.
Primary OS = EOS
VMs running various distros either for testing, curiosity, or to help on support forums.
First one I was actually using myself was Garuda Linux. Used it for around 2 years then i swapped to EOS, running on my laptop and as soon as I got my big PC did some testing on the pre installed windows if everything works (also bios/Firmware Updates) very next day it also had EOS.
On my ROG Ally since a couple months I now have SteamOS (I really got tired of windows) works great even if not officially supported, and my mom is happily running mint since like 2 years or so.
This household is free of windows 
But Garuda wasn’t my first interaction with Linux in general, in school we had a teacher who I assume was a Linux enthusiast (was like 10 years ago) he showcased Ubuntu on a live CD telling us there are other options than windows and Mac (think he also showed Lubuntu or kubuntu) that was the very first time I saw Linux in action.
5 years later learning in IT I got in touch with proxmox, debian, Ubuntu, mint, Kali linux, also plain arch and a couple more.
But actually using myself and installing on my own hardware started with Garuda, and since that, every time I have too look at a windows PC… I look at it with disgust

I had endeavouros on my laptop too. Switched to Fedora for a couple of month but was not so impressed by it. Especially when it comes to hibernation. I now have Ubuntu on my laptop. I like it a lot. And the snap situation is not as bad as one might think.
For servers there is no other option for me but Debian. I’m am used to Debian since decades. Best server OS.

Just EndeavourOS with Plasma, I can’t run VMs on my current PC and don’t have any others that currently work. Have used many other distros in the past and there are several I would like to try so hopefully I can get another PC sometime.
There are other distros besides EndeavourOS? 
I have no need to change. Super happy with it after using Pop_OS!, Nobara, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed for a short time in the past.
