I’d like to interject for a moment to mention, yet again, that I use LilyPond. 
The sheet music above was created using only a text editor and the LilyPond compiler (and ImageMagick to resize the final image so it can be uploaded here). No other tools were used.
Can your $500 Finale or Sibelius do this? Can your spyware MuseScore do this?
I don’t freaking think so!

musescore has been masquerading as mscorefonts (microsoft ttf) for so long that I walk into their trap every new install believing I’ll get times new roman…but instead a big package full of nothing. still, as far as death, it was an interesting Bach piece.
