This weekend I was revisiting some music I had downloaded to my computer many years ago. Most of this music has disappeared from the Internet, but I was surprised to find that this track is still online:
The track is amusing (albeit a bit mean to Sheryl Crow), and itās done rather well. Although itās on the SoundCloud feed of someone named Jeffā Castanon, the notes I took when I download the file say:
by Holy Cow (all instruments and vocals, Rashi Singh)
The lyrics and notes I saved along with the song
Sheryl Crowās Rather Large Noggin
by Holy Cow (all instruments and vocals, Rashi Singh)
http://www.jeffcastanon.com/music.html
(Check, checkā¦)
Sheās got a rather large face
I canāt deny it
Though she scares me in a dark place
I canāt get past her noggin
Canāt get past her noggin
Canāt get past that rather large noggin
Sheās leaving Las Vegas
Because they drove her out
She frightens children at the Circus Circus
I canāt get past her noggin
Canāt get past her noggin
Canāt get past that rather large noggin
(Hornsā¦)
Sheās got a rather large face
Itās kinda masculine
And even in her prom lace
I canāt get past her noggin
Canāt get past her noggin
Canāt get past that rather large noggin
Her craniumās mondo
And itās so threatening
They called the cops and everything
I canāt get past her noggin
Canāt get past her noggin
Canāt get past that rather large noggin
(George Benson, ladies and gentlemenā¦)
Yeah iāve noticed the same, so glad that iām a hoarder for musical gems!
those days are the best days. āthey called the cops and everythingā
Iāve noticed that a while back and have hoarded accordingly. So weird when some music is scrubbed out of searches.
this got me thru a decade and I lost the CD and Iām glad I found it again. Have been revisiting it every other day:
Masterpieces: the Love album, Sonic Temple, and Electric but it has been so long since I played electric. If I only could give more than one heart emoji for this. Shock this one.
Son House wow nice '65 version. that is stark production.
Like the older call-and-response version meself:
good god these were all the women I wanted to marry in the day: Ricki, Margo, Lucinda, not Sinead so much, but Maria the mostāshe has one of those most criminally overlooked solo albums I ever heard.
Solid lineup here. Have to find this record. Blind Willie is hard to cover but g-damn Tom sang this like his life depended on itā¦if it was in a David Lynch filmā¦far out.
One my favorite CDs includes this performance by Steve Earle:
The entire album is great.
that had to be earle finger-picking that solo in the middle of Dooley. Got to hear the rest now!
