Some great albums released in 1997:
Because I was listening to Big Audio Dynamite - E=MC2 - YouTube
and XTC Generals and Majors before. No idea about the progress of this eveningâs listening delight!
Best damn group to come along in 20 years!
They have been touring for several years and have a few albums:
When I got into metal, it was all thrash and various forms of extreme metal. Black metal was also in the bud, and would go on to have a major impact on the scene.
We percieved Iron Maiden as old-fashioned, harkening back to former times. Of course we got the classic albums, Killers is one of my all-time favourite albums overall, but the new metal stuff was much more exiting, it was the future.
Funny then, when I recently stumbled into a Maiden kick, it turns out I know most of the songs and the lyrics, by heart, for some reason. Maiden are to metal what AC/DC is to badass rock nâ roll guitar riffing - their influence is not that perceptible, because it is kinda like the air you breath, it is always there but you donât think about it.
So far, Iâve realized that Brave New World is the one of the absolute best comeback albums in metal, and that Somewhere in Time is a goddamn great album. At the time, it was accepted wisdom that Maiden was done and over with, because they incorporated guitar synths.
Now, I cannot understand what the commotion was about. The guitar synths works just like another frigginâ pedal! The album is great!
Iron Maiden RULZ. Thatâs just a basic fact of life.
Iâve forgotten how to quote posts @mrneilypops, but SomaFM is great!

Yes SomaFM is great. I have been listening for a good few years. You just reminded me to have a blast of Secret Agent
Which distro uses that?
