I once saw Deep Purple with their original lineup. That must have been in 1998 or so. One of their legendary farewell concerts. Of course, it was never a farewell. I can still remember feeling the tension between Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore even from the back row. But it was still a very professional concert.
That’s why I’ve seen them separately
