Here’s news about recent (after October) changes in the Welcome app.

  • Added REISUB buttons under the Tips tab (REISUB can help dealing with the a system crash).
    Note: some related translations may be missing since this is a very recent change.
  • Reorganized the buttons that update mirrors and packages (under After Install and Assistant tabs).
  • Fixed a bug in enabling the translation support for a few languages.

I have a stick note above my computer. Had to because it’s only needed about once a year. :upside_down_face:

Yer I had it on a whiteboard that’s on the wall behind where I used to have my desk but moved rooms so back to the notebook til I get another whiteboard for this room

By the way, those of you that create such personal notes, please send me some of them that you’d consider generally useful. You can send them in this thread or as a PM (your choice).
This way we could hopefully share the knowledge for all and make Welcome better.

user reported that in case he is pressing the REISUB enable button and do press cancel when asking for password it shows message that RESUB is enabled.

Hope things are getting fixed. My computer has been freezing up repeatedly this week.

Your computer shouldn’t be freezing repeatedly. Maybe you should open a topic explaining your issues as well as providing the hardware output. That can be done from the welcome app.
