Was passiert da beim Update?

Hallo,

nach dem letzten Update läuft im Terminal für mehrere Stunden dieser Zeichenkram.

Kann da nichts mit anfangen-kann ich das einfach ignorieren?

Ignorieren nicht wirklich. Bei Dir wurden - vermutlich nicht zum ersten Mal in den letzten Tagen - veraltete QT5-Pakete aus den Arch Repos ins AUR verfrachtet. Sobald die dort sind, sind die Pakete im Normalfall nicht fertig kompiliert, sondern das passiert bei Dir. Daher gilt wie immer beim Updaten, dass man schauen muss, was da passiert. Sobald Programme, die früher in den Arch Repos waren ins AUR wandern, frage ich bei mir ab, ob das betreffende Paket von irgendeinem anderen Paket benötigt wird. Wenn nein, dann deinstalliere ich das Paket immer sofort. Jetzt wurden die Pakete vermutlich fertig kompiliert und installiert. Trotzdem würde ich die prüfen und ggf. deinstallieren. Welche Pakete das genau waren, findest in der Datei /var/log/pacman.log. Ganz am Ende der Datei sind die Einträge der letzten Updates. Hier werden auch immer die installierten Pakete aufgelistet. Dann mit yay -Qi <hier_Paketname_einfügen> im Terminal abfragen und dann ggf. mit yay -R <hier_Paketname_einfügen> deinstallieren.

Definitiv nicht ignorieren, sondern das upgrade / den Kompilierungsprozess abbrechen und die Liste der anstehenden Paketupdates hier teilen.

Nur wenn es zwingend notwendig ist, was ich in Deinem Fall bezweifele, kompiliert man Qt lokal. Wahrscheinlich kannst Du auf bereits fertig kompilierte Pakete wechseln und Dir den ganzen Kompilierungsaufwand sparen, da gilt es die korrekten *-bin Pakete herauszufinden. Oder eben den Übeltäter herauszufinden der Paketquellen bzgl. Qt5 aus dem AUR erfordert anstatt mit den offiziell Paketquellen im extra repository zurecht zu kommen.

danke erstmal. Habe mir das mal angeschaut und weiss letztendlich gar nicht was ich da alles machen soll.

Mir ist auch unklar wieso das plötzlich damit anfängt? Zuvor war es ganz easy und die Updates liefen in kürzester Zeit durch, so dass ich mein EOS gleich wieder sauber zur Verfügung hatte..

Bleibt das jetzt so, oder ändert sich das zukünftig wieder?

Das bleibt so wenn Du nichts unternimmst.

Heißt, es gilt herauszufinden welches Paket hier als Abhängigkeit die entsprechenden Qt Pakete benötigt. Anhand der partiellen Kompilierungsausgabe lässt sich dies leider nicht ohne weiteres ableiten. Da hat @marteng69 ja bereits auf die Datei /var/log/pacman.log hingewiesen die die entsprechenden Informationen beinhalten sollte. Deren Inhalt kannst Du hier gerne teilen. Nicht umbedingt den kompletten Inhalt, am Besten in dem Du cat /var/log/pacman.log | eos-sendlog nutzt und den generierten Link hier teilst.

Also scheinbar verschwindet es doch wieder.

Ich habe das endlose Kompilieren einfach mal abgebrochen,

reboot - wieder Systemaktalisierung gestartet, wieder das Kompilieren unterbrochen,

reboot usw.

3x das Ganze. Dann hab’ ich’s mal durchlaufen lassen ohne Unterbrechung

und nach nichtmal 3 min. war alles vobei!

Heute neues Update gemacht - lief sauber durch komplett ohne Kompilierung.

Funktioniert auch alles.

Warum das funktionierte weiss ich allerdings nicht, aber schnell mal wieder 'n Backup-Image davon gemacht.

Das sind Statusangaben, die während des Erstellens von QT5 angezeigt werden. Keine Fehlermeldungen.

Unnötige Pakete sollten immer bereinigt werden, vor allem wenn sie aus dem AUR sind.
Eventuell brauchst du das Paket eben gar nicht.

qt5-location ist ein AUR Paket, somit bringt pacman nichts. Versuch mal:
yay -Qi qt5-location | grep -i "Ist abhängig von"

Der grep Parameter “Required By” funktioniert auch nicht. Im eingedeutschten EOS heist das “Ist abhängig von”

Ich habs mal mit dem Parameter -Si versucht, weil ich das Paket nicht installiert habe, das kommt dabei raus:

yay -Si qt5-location | grep -i "Ist abhängig von"
Ist abhängig von              : qt5-declarative

wenn es als Paket installiert ist schon.. nur der grep term war auf englisch..sollte so gehen:
pacman -Qi qt5-location | grep -i "Ist abhängig von"

Oder:
LANG=C pacman -Qi qt5-location | grep -i "Required By"

ich finde es immer am einfachsten einfach die Deinstalltion anzu setzen und dann zu gucken was es meckert..
Also nicht auf ja klicken sondern zeigen was es alles deinstallieren würde

sudo pacman -Rsc qt5-location ohne Bestätigung und die Ausgabe zeigen (nur eingeben und ein mal Enter drücken)

Das sind alles nur alte qt5 Bibliotheken, keine Endanwendungen. Entfernen sollte keine Probleme bereiten.
