By the way .. VLC problems are probably a coincidence with the vlc package split .. you just need the plugins and this would be true on any Arch system.

Just did a system update and VLC was one of the updates. Now VLC doesn’t work right. During the update there was more than a dozen new dependencies for it. They looked to be codec’s. I can get audio but not video to work. When I play a video a window pops up with errors in it. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem? I tried using (sudo pacman -Rdd vlc) to remove it and then re-install it but the outcome was the same. I tried rebooting the computer after install the same problem pers…
