Vlc & haruna don't work with git branch ffmpeg

:receipt:Narrative First generation threadripper 1920 x with a 108 0 TI on the Nvidia beta dkms Branch of proprietary graphical drivers

At some point recently when I was trying to update audio and video codec for some reason VLC and haruna do not work with hardware acceleration

Symptomology includes VLC being able to play the video actually without artifacting but there is no audio will not allow me to select default system audio

Haruna when attempting The MKV video feels like the video is being played on super slow speed with artifacting audio and video

The reality check that I performed was I downloaded an app image version of SM player and can play the MKV video without any issues

This leads me to believe that there is a system-wide codec issue somehow

What I am requesting is how can I basically reinstall all of the audio and video codecs

What I have currently tried was building ffmpg from the git Branch

Was able to successfully install using. Yay!

But there is no change in the functionality of VLC and haruna

Attempted to build VLC and haruna from get Branch but are complaining that the git branch of ffmpg is not compatible

Had previously installed the

:paw_prints:vlc-luajit
:paw_prints:libvlc-luajit

Because I just recently got into streaming but I can’t really run OBS

So I am forced to use gpu screen recorder

Which works perfectly fine for my particular setup

At some point I think I’m in some sort of media codec hell

And I just need some assistance. Kind of resetting everything so it just works

If anybody is willing to walk me through the process I would be greatly appreciated

I really don’t want to have to reinstall from scratch again

But I can if absolutely necessary

install non git ffmpeg
