I Ctrl+c’ed out of it when it prompted for root password, and best i can see all it was doing is downloading community wallpapers. It’s just weird this is the first time my pc has done this since it was installed a few years ago. Is it a virus? An update I didn’t request? Halp. I’m still rather new to linux…
Yes it popped up on its own. I haven’t downloaded any app that I am aware of that would download wallpapers. I doubt i’ve added links in .zshrc/.bashrc, idk what those are. Ran a script that would’ve done it? Not sure, but i dont think so. How do i check?
Have you used the welcome app and clicked on the download wallpapers button by mistake? As shown by @joekamprad in his video, thats the most likely case. your output is exactly the same as what Joe showed in his video
Yes thats what probably happened, i have 2 monitors and the welcome app pops up on the other one, which is currently off. I bet i clicked on it by mistake, i was watching a tv series in fullscreen. Thanks!
