Very impressed with Endeavour

I am very grateful to have found Endeavour. My recent journey started with Manjaro – a fine system, but I found inconsistencies in updates. Next was Garuda Linux which I found more stable than Manjaro. However “sleep” never worked well and I found I often had to log into the intramfs version of the kernel on my laptop to avoid a hung boot. I then installed Arch using the archinstaller. I produced working installs for my desktop and laptop. However rather quickly sound stopped working on my desktop and my laptop suffered from a firmware update that no longer allowed it to boot. I know both of those were my fault at some level and fixable if I had done enough research. I then installed Endeavour on my laptop (KDE Plasma) and was extremely impressed how everything just worked! Impressed enough to use it exclusively on my desktop now as well. Sleep is no longer an issue (even with the new kernel), printer setup was a breeze etc. and I am pleased to see the active user community. Thank you to all the developers and contributors to the this great OS.

First of all welcome @whelanh to the wonderful world of EndeavourOS.

I will repeat again, I have been on Linux since 2000, and till now I never found a community like here or a Linux distro like EndeavourOS.

I am sure you will enjoy.
Welcome to our world (by the way, life here is much better than on that planet called Earth)
