/usr/bin/DesktopVideoUpdater Capping CPU After Sleep

I’ve been having this issue for a few months now. Whenever I press suspend and wake up the PC after sleep, there are a bunch of session process from /usr//bin/DesktopVideoUpdater. I need to kill all of them every time which gets annoying. I’ve been struggling to find information about this and how to solve it.

I found this: https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=109244
It sounds like trouble! Where did you install this from, and how?

This is exactly my issue. I am using a blackmagic intensity pro 4k capture card(same as the post) and I use the decklink package from the AUR.

OK, just had a look at that. I suggest filing a bug report with the developers at Blackmagic and/or mentioning it to the Arch maintainer but I reckon they’ll suggest the same thing. If you do send a report then reference the forum thread I linked. Sorry I can’t be of more help than that. :man_shrugging: :slightly_smiling_face:

Er…note to moderators. I think this topic is in the wrong place. Shouldn’t it be in Hardware or Software or somewhere? I’m not sure…
