Do you think that the new AMD motherboards that will launch when ZEN 5 releases, will have USB 4 and WIFI 7 ?

It seems that USB 4 is compatible with Thunderbolt ??

Motherboards in general are getting expensive. I do like new hardware capabilities but it comes at a price. :wink:

Indeed… I won’t buy new hardware so soon, but I keep watching the news.

If I were to assemble a new PC right now, I would definitely wait a little longer for USB 4 and WIFI 7…

I have new parts sitting here already. I have a B550 board and 5800X with a 6750XT Gpu. Just need drives, memory & pwr supply. Don’t really need it but i got the parts. :man_shrugging:

I don’t have new parts sitting here, but the ones I’m already using are pretty fine and I’m happy with it.

What I’m saying is that USB 4, based on what I’ve been reading, is capable of 40Gbps… Also compatible with Thunderbolt devices.
WIFI 7 sounds pretty cool too…

These 2 things together would definitely make me to wait to see if I were going to buy new parts, which I won’t… At least for the following years…

And I’m over here thinking about puttingtogether an AM4 setup still lol. . .

I don’t think I even have wifi 6, nevermind looking towards 7

AM4 prices are very appealing right now…

My AP is still WIFI 5, it was white but now it is yellow, old and dusty :slight_smile:
But still rocks… Anyway, it is nice to have it in your motherboard if you are thinking ahead.

For me, USB 4 is the biggest thing coming…
But, as all new things, we will see drivers problems and etc…
