Hey all,
So I recently noticed that my version of EOS is on 2024.04 and never updated to 2024.09. I’ve tried the usualy pacman -Syu and it updates packages like normal but my EOS isn’t updating.
Any tips that I may be missing?

Welcome to the community!
Are you saying that you installed it and have not updated it since the 2024.04?
If yes, this means that most (if not all) of your apps and your system are completely out-of-date. EndeavourOS is a rolling-release distro, you can update every day, every few days, every week, etc. But if you don’t update it for over 6 months, it will be difficult to update it, and it may be better to just reinstall.
But, please answer the question. Have you updated your system since installing it?
oh no no, sorry for mis wording it. I update all the time, and I may just be checking the wrong place to find my current version. After googling some more it looks like I just found the ‘original’ version I installed. But I just can’t find anything stating I’m on 2024.09 (rather that what I installed last year 2024.04). Or is that not a thing on a rolling release?
There are no versions on EOS. It is rolling.
You can disregard that date.
In that case, the version you installed doesn’t matter. Rolling-release means you update and keep rolling in new updates without ever needing to reinstall, unless your system is broken beyond repair, or you just feel like reinstalling.
Thanks for helping out a Linux newb! Y’all are the best!
