Updated And Regretted It... On Fallback

Ahoy!

I updated my system with the terminal command. It recommended a reboot afterward, and when I did – the flatpak app Stream Controller wouldn’t stay open, and my browser had forgotten all my passwords even though it otherwise remembered me.

Worst part is, I happily let it recommend all those really difficult passwords!!!

I’m on the fallback where everything is working fine again, even the browser. Should I do something to make the fallback permanent for now…? I’m clearly not ready for the upgrade. Or is there maybe something else I should do here?

I’m still new to Endeavor OS and Arch in general.

Try running sudo dracut-rebuild and see if that fixes it.

Not to sound stupid (sorry), but do I use that on the fallback or the main?

You can use it from the fallback

Fallback now has the same issue as the main. Well, this is a learning experience. All my important data is backed up this time on a separate drive – so nothing will be lost if drastic action is required.

Uh–scratch that. Seems like stuff suddenly is working again. No reason. One minute I was having the same issues, next everything is working. Thanks for the help!

Also NEVER save your passwords in a browser! Thy are NOT secure! Use a Password Manager like 1Password(rekommeded!) or a local vault like Keepass.
