Unusual Installation Problem With Keyboard

I think it does have the Tux super key!

@lhb1142 Another option is hold down the Fn key and then press the Esc key. This releases the locked function keys on some keyboards.

Thanks to all who ave responded. Within the next few days, I’ll try several of the solutions posted here. But remember - I’ll be doing this with the Live Disc, not the installation. Because I used the Live Disc’s partition manager to wipe everything off of the SSD, I’ll have to see if any of the fixes suggested work with that Live Disc. If they do, I’ll proceed from there.

It continues to be strange to me however that, after setting the UEFI to Default (and with Secure Boot disabled), the Live Disc PLUS the completed installation of Xubuntu worked fine but that of EOS did not work properly at all.

I apologize for the delay in finishing this post. The computer in question is my wife’s “travel” computer. Obviously we will not be traveling this year (unless a miracle occurs) so I was really in no rush to experiment further.

But yesterday I tried both of the suggested solutions which seemed reasonable: I held down the Fn key + the Num Lock key AND THEN (in addition) I held down the Fn key while pressing the Esc key.

One or both of these solution worked! I was easily able to get EndeavourOS installed (using the April release) AND I was able to enter the Wi-Fi password directly from the keyboard without having to go through any hoops.

Thanks very much to everyone who replied to this post and for steering me in the right direction.
