Uninstalling Root Certificates that came with unwanted and now removed app

Hello forum,

In my haste I accidentally installed Keepass instead of KeepassXC by running ‘yay keepass’ and choosing package1. I know I know… I had a lot of chances to realize.

I removed keepass using ‘yay keepass -Rns’ but it said during install it was installing over 100 root certificates.

Should I bother trying to remove these? Feels messy. Might just reinstall. What do you guys say?

I found this https://clsc.net/articles/remove-keepass-pw-manager.php which explains my exact situation but it’s using aptitude.

I’m just going to reinstall. I am a security risk and I need to be punished…

Did you try Yay -Yc ? (for removing orphans). Not sure this works though.

@keescase Sorry to have wasted your time but I talked myself into reinstalling with each edit I made.

I Just need to be more careful installing stuff. I even checked the name on the arch packages website, I just wasn’t thinking. Lesson learned.

I am loving EndeavourOS. I try and use different distros on my two PCs just so it’s not effected by any glitched updates but alas I cannot and now both run EndeavourOS with KDE.
