Okay I compiled and installed ungoogled-chromium 91.0.4472.101-1.
Since this new desktop entry is just identified as chromium and I have 2 other Chromium-based browsers >> how the heck can I get Ungoogled browser to open?
Why is there not an ungoogled-chromium .desktop file in /usr/share/applications.
If you used the AUR PKGBUILD, it conflicts with chromium so the chromium on your system should be ungoogled-chromium. Other chromium-based browsers shouldn’t install chromium.
ungoogled-chromium isn’t a separate thing from chromium, it is just chromium with everything removed.
That being said, the differences are pretty striking so it should be pretty obvious which one you are running.
I’m kinda hoping a separate .desktop entry can be made (named) and identified ungoogled-chromium.
Or should I create a new SR-Ware Iron browser .desktop file?
If I remember correctly SR-Ware Iron browser is a portable application.
When I click on Chromium from /usr/share/applications - sr-ware iron opens Dalto
I’ll input the Chromium .desktop file:
