This shouldn’t be really necessary. Sometimes, missing ‘dependencies’ in AUR packages will catch up over time.
It is always good to look into Arch Linux AUR packages from the Arch website to determine, if one or another package is no longer actively being maintained.
So, if a package gets flagged as out-of-date, the used AUR helper (yay or paru) will mention it any way when updating your system.
Well, I am looking at it as some sort of maintenance, I discovered I had something called debtap which I actuall never neede, I just installed it out of curiosity and forgot about it. Some others like virtualbox-ext-oracle, I thought I can find a way alternative to using USB disks.
One update? That’s not a habit. Being told a half dozen times in 8 months you’re still doing the same thing. . . That’s a habit. Anyone can do something once.
At the risk of introducing more complications, you don’t even need that AUR package to have the extension. You can also download it from the Oracle website and manage / install it from within Virtualbox itself.
Thank you @r0ckhopper
I uninstalled it completely. I can find many other ways alternative to using USB.
I have uninstalled a few others as well (above post) and trying to find alternatives to minimise AUR usage, so I have a smother system.
