Trying to install Mullvad to no avail

endeavour has been working perfectly so far for everything i’ve been trying to install, but no matter what when i try to install via konsole i can’t seem to get it to work. does anyone know how i can install it as of 2024?

Perhaps you can use the Flatpak version? What is the output of the install command you issued?

oh maybe. yeah sorry i didnt provide much info. it’s mainly that when i try to install mullvad-vpn-bin it gives me a server failure message when i try to download pgp keys. so maybe something to do with my firewall?

i see mullvad browser is available on flathub, but not the vpn, or at least i couldn’t find it

Hmm… Not sure. I think providing the exact output of the command will help someone more knowledgeable than me to help you out, though.

okay, here it is

:: PGP keys need importing:
→ A1198702FC3E0A09A9AE5B75D5A1D4F266DE8DDF, required by: mullvad-vpn-bin
:: Import? [Y/n]
:: Importing keys with gpg…
gpg: keyserver receive failed: Server indicated a failure
→ problem importing keys

tried reinstalling after temporarily disabling my firewall with “sudo systemctl stop firewalld”, no dice, same message

omg nvm i got it to work by downloading the keys directly from mullvad and following their instructions :))_))

I use the AUR -bin mullvad app.
I had it same error. uninstalled then reinstalled.
it went away.
One day it came back.
I pasted that identical error into Forum search. Found a thread about installing an extra package to make it stop. I did. It stopped.
One day error is came back when updating.
The Maintainer had a duplicate line or something–I discovered that when people were complaining about the error at his AUR package page. When he came home from work he fixed it.

So what the he** am I trying to say? these kinds of errors are always temporary and go away.
