Touchpad issue. toggled on MSI laptop

Linux os is really a problematic on Msi laptop.
My touchpad is toggled. This just happened again. Preivously it happened before, later , after restart or suspend it get itself fixed.
Now it happened again; and touchpad is no longer working.
When i turn on touchpad with physical button that is dedicated to toggle on/off mousepad, screen displayed Touchpad Off and vice versa.
When my touchpad is on, linux shows it is off; while linux shows it is on, actually it is off, of course touchpad won’t works.
what terminal command can be use to on and off touchpad ? so that i can twist it back to the correct state with the physical touchpad status.

I searched wiki.archlinux, there is not much that i can ultilize with my knowledge.

My laptop is equipped with Elantech Touchpad

@jonathon

Huh ? Why did you “liked” the post ? You have the same problem ?
This is why i am scared of installing linux afresh… because each time i installed, there are tons of minor minor stuff need to fix and solve.

No, I just like that you have included a good amount of information and that you have done some research. :wink: :+1:

I see, but none of my research provides any help to me to solve the problem myself.
I believe this is another problem just like the mouse right click menu issue… it will dissapear before anybody ever able to provide solution.

maybe this …

My touchpad is Elantech, not Synaptics. Are they both having same config ?
