Hi there,
I have a strange time format bug in the top bar clock/notification menu. It was not an issue when on GNOME 49, must have come with GNOME 50 or first fix-release.
I’m on German for Desktop Language and Formats. When I open the clock menu all times in weather forecast, world clock and appointments are shown as “1” or “1 - 1”. Switching the clock display in Settings - Date/Time form 24h to AM/PM makes the times being displayed correctly (3 p.m. for examle) switching back to 24h as format → times are all “1” again.
I created a fresh user, switched to that: same behaviour. So it must be a system issue.
I already (with help of gemini) recreated german locales, deleted locale cache, set environment variables for LC_TIME… even reinstalled gnome-shell, icu, libgc(?) — no changes. Weirdly this effects only the drop down clock menu items. In e.g. GNOME Calendar App the time is displayed correctly (like 14:21).
I now want to install a fresh EOS in a VM and see what happens and want to compare files for differences. If that fails, too I will open a bug report @gnome gitlab.
If you do not have other tipps than the above mentioned: what is the correct name of the clock/notification object in top bar and the sub items. I do not want to use misleading terms in bug report.
Thanks all!
