Thunderbird updates lagging?

I noticed that the recent updates to Thunderbird have not reached the Extras repo, and the package is still on 128.5.2-2 whereas other distros (and Windows) updated Thunderbird some weeks ago. I have assumed this was down to the season and the package maintainer(s) not getting around to it yet?

The most recent update 128.6.0-1 is showing in the Extras-testing repo today, however I am loath to enable that just for one package, so does anyone know what the average time is for packages in that repo to be moved into the mainstream one?

Yes, suseTumbleweed offers version 128.6.1-1.1
And in Arch so far 128.5.2-2…

It seems to depend on the package and the maintainer of the package. Usually Arch packages seem to be available within days of the upstream release. Some packages can take a bit more, especially if it is an essential package in relation to other packages.
Testing is a wise thing to do, and it may take some time too.

Also, I just went and checked my version within the app, it matches with the version Pacman says (and with what you guys have said), however, it has the ESR tag at the end.

So, it seems the Arch maintainer is using the ESR as the main version, or is that just normal?

pacman -Q | rg -i "thunderbird"
thunderbird 128.5.2-2
