There is an issue with the animation when the application bar is hidden and has the auto-hide option enabled.
When I open a program and the application bar hides, I press minimize on the program window, and the animation doesn’t render at all. But sometimes, the animation works. I can’t figure out what this problem is
I’ve tried 4 different distributions already, and the problem is the same everywhere. From what I understand, this started with the new Plasma version. Could it be something wrong with my laptop? What logs should I check?

I can attach journalctl file here?
Not quite sure what animation is not working for you, but:
One of the ways to get logs is to use the Welcome app.
Or have a look at the EndeavourOS-article [1].
But if this same problem occurs across several distro’s I would suggest to have a look over at KDE [1]. Perhaps others have reported similar symptoms?
If all else is working as expected I don’t think there is something wrong with your laptop.
It may indeed be a result of Plasma6/Qt6.

I previously contacted the kde forum where I did not receive any response. It was recommended to contact bugs.kde.
Magic lamp and the second available animation in KDE. I don’t remember its name.
The first animation minimizes directly into the cursor, not into the application bar.
The second animation simply doesn’t display.
I have a feeling that the underlying mechanism for these animations has stopped working properly, and this seems to be a KDE issue since the same problem occurs on both Wayland and X11. However, these animations occasionally work correctly.
Great.
I think they will likely want some more information about your system and setup. I usually add the info that
‘’‘kinfo’‘’
produces.
But inxi is perhaps even better.
They may also ask you to try out certain scenaros, to see how the system behaves then.
All this helps the kde devs to triage the issue.
Other users who come across the same issue can now find it, and subscribe to it, and add their relevant information.

Thanks for the information. I’ll try it a little later
