The shutdown time is sometimes take long

The shutdown time is sometimes long.

when the system is shut down, it takes a long time, something like a timer that you have to wait for two minutes
Is there a way to shut down the system quickly?

Would you even sometimes (please) bother to read through the forum’s posts, or search them (see upper right magnifying glass-symbol) in the forum - as many of your latest posts seem to have been solved before in other threads?

Thank you.

In this special case, you only need to search for the term “watchdog”, or “nowatchdog” for a quick answer, respectively.

BUT your thread-name “shutdown time” will deliver quite the same results, I’m sure.

Thank you again, for considering my complaint to you.

I had the same problem…
in /etc/systemd/user.conf and system.config I changed the line DefaultTimeoutStopSec=90s to one second

dont forget to remove # in front of this line

I hope this works for you to

Great solution.
I had this issue sometime ago. It happened randomly.
The solution I got at that time was the REISUB button sequence. I hope this will make it automagically shut down.
Thank a lot
