Too bad it’s a horrible OS for actually trying to use it.

For a daily driver, unfortunately it’s a NoGo.

Would love to know how a tuned setup of Gentoo would compare.

I’ve tried it. I guess I just don’t like fast. Oh well.

Just install the liquorix kernel. They have all their patches and then some.

What is you experience of Liquorix compared to Zen or other kernels?

It’s really something. You should at least try the repo and install it. Much improved over zen

Phoronix compared distros, not kernels.
The differences in speed are not solely down to the used kernel, as you can read at the very end of the article.

Even so the kernel is much improved. I can def see the performance improvement while playing ESO on Linux through steam play. The studder and lag and freezes I used to get when first loading a character to play are gone. And even the graphics look better. A bit crisper. It’s def worth your time to check it out.

And if you dont want to add a repo, you could always try out clear linux from the aur

yay -S linux-clear-bin linux-clear-headers-bin

being a bin file it installs quickly but the liquorix one has more than just clear linux patches

Thanks, but I’m running my own kernel

I’ve tried them. I don’t do gaming or anything. Arch on lts is my favorite. I like stability.
