The A.I. Revolution Is Upon Us, Like It Or Not

ready or not here it comes :ocean:

Also, don’t forget a paper copy of your Gray’s Anatomy, and a candle…

My :penguin: grandfather watched him perform the operation at Novolazarevskaya Station :winking_face_with_tongue:

This. So much this. It started with diminished attention spans due to social media and harmful effects even just by only using navigation systems (they train you to lose the bigger picture and focus only on the immediate things).

All of this needs to be used sparingly, cautiously and responsibly.

People who use AI like drug addicts their drugs will soon lose a lot of their mental capabilities.

A.I is like driving
No matter how good of a Driver you are
Everyone else is a Maniac.

The simple fact is the individual like nature will always travel the path of least resistance. We all want to live in comfort and we are willing to sacrifice others to make it happen. We built an entire world on it and its why most have to get up at a time they would rather not to go somewhere you rather not be for 8 + hours a day dealing with people you wouldn’t want to share breathing air with. All because a few people who didn’t know how to hunt, fish and farm convinced the rest of the people who could that a rock was more important and valuable than food.

I have to read through that, but just skimming over it:

The participants were instructed to pick a topic among the proposed prompts, and then to produce an essay based on the topic’s assignment within a 20 minutes time limit. Depending on the participant’s group assignment, the participants received additional instructions to follow: those in the LLM group (Group 1) were restricted to using only ChatGPT, and explicitly prohibited from visiting any websites or other LLM bots.

doesn’t qualify it as a “learning tool” as I meant it. I would agree that twenty minutes of wikipedia reading probably gives more insight and creates more engagement than poking ChatGPT for twenty minutes.

PS: Sorry for the necro-answer-bump, the thread just showed up under “latest” with new answers here.

This is what AI told me. Exactly what I think of AI! It’s not smart! It’s not Artificial Intelligence!

I am a large language model, developed by Google. I do not have a physical presence or a computer operating system like Linux, nor do I go anywhere [1].

I exist as software on Google’s servers, utilizing their infrastructure and various operating systems as part of my function.
