Tenda w311mi usb adapter issue

I came to EOS from Manjaro and loving the lean and smooth desktop experience. However, my usb wifi router is not working properly. I’d appreciate if anyone can point me to some direction

Here are some of diagnostic

Thanks in advance.

In what way?

That’s what i was wondering? I also wonder if the 8188fu-kms-git will work?

Sorry for being vague. Nothing shows in the GUI of Network manager and I cant manage the wifi.

I went to the AUR package page and found that it recommended to use this for kernel above 5.8
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/8188fu-kelebek333-dkms-git/
I’ve installed this, rebooted the PC. No change till now.

That’s still rather vague.

What is this device supposed to do? You say it’s a USB router, so what functionality is it supposed to provide?

Sorry again
Its actually a USB WLAN adapter and I’m intending to connect the PC to a WIFI network using this.

It looks like this device has very poor Linux support (despite what the manufacturer page says - maybe it used to have support, or there was an old driver, …).

The most active driver effort seems to be here:

but keep in mind it also has a number of known issues.

You might be better off just buying another cheap USB adapter which has driver support.
