Good afternoon. I have a rather stupid question, but it worries me. I have 8 GB of RAM but a 6 core processor. Tell me on the website what the minimum requirements are indicated, are they current?
As per the main page at: https://endeavouros.com/
"Minimum system requirements
2.5 GB of RAM
Dual Core Processor (64 bit, x86-64, amd64)
15 GB of Harddrive space
Installer still supports legacy Bios only systems, but it is recommended to run modern EFI (UEFI) systems not on legacy (CSM) mode.
Note:
These are the absolute minimum requirements to use the operating system and be able to run the installer.
Applications, options, games, etc. may need better specifications. Modern browsers alone often require around 2 GB of RAM to run smoothly."
What worries you?
You should be perfectly fine with a 6 core processor and 8 GB RAM to run EnOS with any desktop environment of your choice.
Your machine are more than sufficient to run the Operating System.
Some Desktop Environments does, sometimes requires more memory resources to run more stable. So you should pick lightweight Desktop Environments (XFCE, LXDE/Qt) and use lightweight apps to optimize your usage.
Note that you can try the OS via bootable drive. Use it for a spin before you decide.
