System not bootable after restore timeshift on btrfs

timeshift doesn’t find the snaptshot :
image

/dev/dm-2 points to /@ (subvol=943), it is the path of where i did the chroot

but the folder timeshift-btrfs containing the snapshots is on the level / (subvol=5).

the subvolume / (id 5) contains :

@
@home
timeshift-btrfs
@var

how timeshift will find the snapshots ? the screenshot seems to show that there is a error!

I don’t know. Maybe TimeShift can’t find them after all.
Maybe you could try what @dalto suggested.

Finally i solved my problem by playing to move the snaptshots.

And the system came back to boot.

I have to find another solution than TimeShift because it does not support systemd-boot and when i tried to restore, in fact i’m pretty sure that the initramfs files where not restored when first i played with timeshift to restore system, so the system and boot files were not anymore fitting about the version of kernel.

Anyway. Thanks a lot for your efforts guys, So nice support on this forum.

The reason i did try to restore a snapshot with TimeShift is because between the 15 and 16 of february, the updates applied made my system with wrong language and the terminal constant error message :

_p9k_init_params:72: character not in range

It seems that locale.gen were broken !

After to solve my problem of snapshot with timeshift, i just change “locale” file setting and regeneration with locale-gen !
