Hey, i recently set up some widgets with hardware sensors for water temperature and air temperature inside the pc case.
I use the “System Monitor Widgets” provided my Plasma.
The hardware sensors are connected to an Aquacomputer Octo.
When set up, the monitoring works as intended, showing temperatures and all.
But after 1-3 boots the widget “forgets” the sensor source. This goes as far as it doesnt even remember the saved configuration. Meaning, it just saves the name, type and color scheme of the widget. Other widgets with software sensors work without any problems.
Is there any solution to this? I figure it might have something to do with the boot sequence. Maybe i have to force the usb driver for the octo to boot up earlier? So the widget/system monitor has access to the usb device on start up of plasma, and therefore doesnt just “forget” the sensor.
Googling and arch wiki didnt get me anywhere…sadly…
The screenshot provided shows my widget setup. The Temperature sensors in the first row are the problem. The others always work as in the picture.
