SWAY - logout freeze

I am getting this error on logout from Sway DM that freezes at a TTY terminal still on my account with this message:

on/ipc-client.c:86] Unable to receive IPC responseipe priority=5 code_file=../gtk/gdk/wayland/gdkevent.c code_line=96 code_func=gdk_event_source_check glib_domain=Gdk syslog_identifier=nwg-drawer

The only way to quit this screen is to open TTY2 and reboot. I should add that there is an anomaly following login from a greed screen. I end up at a TTY terminal and have to ype “sway” to launch the DM.

I followed the instructions on the github page by doing a fresh installation from the EndeavourOS iso. The custom configuration from the Welcome screen didn’t work so I had to install Sway DM manually. Any help would appreciated.

Have you tried a different greeter? My money is that it’s not actually Sway but rather greed that’s the issue. I only say that because I use sway as the wayland backend for sddm, and have no issues going into either KDE or sway sessions from sddm
