Surprise upgrade to arch kernel - did I do something or miss something

When you run your update it asked you to confirm. You looked it over and hit yes. It shouldn’t be a surprise?

There is no announcement for new kernels. New minor versions are released approx. every 2 weeks. They will be installed like any other package.

As a matter of fact there was a new update today, and we now are on 6.14.7-arch2-1, but maybe your mirrors haven’t updated yet ?

Yeah always update your mirrors(Arch) before updating.
you get best speeds and everything latest.
