That’s the dependency it’s failing on. Others have also reported network timeout issues with it. Are you using a VPN?
If you want you can try Feh for your backgrounds the command is pretty simple
feh --bg-fill 'path/to/image.jpg'
there is also waypaper you may want to give a look at
No VPN, but i use zram at 80% because i have an older machine 2018 with only 4GB of ram , I thought that might have something to do with it.
Seems more likely an issue with your connection to the remote server, although it’s difficult to say what the cause of that is.
Waypaper works great ! thanks for the work around . I put this into my i3 config and I’m going to reboot to see if the same wallpaper stays (exec --no-startup-id sleep 2 && waypaper --restore )

Is it possible to install hyperland and not mess up my i3 Endeavor setup ?
While its possible you should always make sure to have a good WORKING backup before attempting such things. If your just interested in Hyperland and want to give it a look may I suggest you do that in a VM first. This way you leave your daily alone while experimenting at the same time.
I only have 4GB of ram on this old computer and installing a VM might jam things up ?
