I have no idea what suddenly happened, but as of today, I can no longer write to any mounted drives. Rebooting the system doesn’t help. Could anyone help me?

Well, what packages did you update since you last were able to write? What kind of filesystem are you talking about ?

I just updated, no new software.
In the update today there were: vim, vim-runtime, wine, bind, eos-translations and all the update files from the weekend. (there where a lot of them). F.i. os-prober, plasma disks,
Well, either your volumes are somehow set to read-only or an update potentially went wrong (kernel modules perhaps). Those are guesses. Do you dual-boot?
The log of pacman actions is /var/log/pacman.log..it has date/time stamps.
Your comment about dual boot got me thinking. I do indeed have a dual boot system. This weekend, after a long time, I logged back into Windows. And then Windows didn’t shut down properly. I think that’s Windows kept allocating the drives. (I could read, but not write). I just logged back into Windows and shut down normally. After logging back into EndeavourOS, the problem was solved.
