Sudden disconnects with scrcpy

I’ve created a bug report with scrcpy, but I’m starting to think it’s not the problem. After upgrading to the v1.23 version, I’ve been getting random disconnects, both in USB and TCP/IP modes. Running it in debug mode, there are no indications as to why. Since this was working perfectly in v1.22, I downgraded. But the issues still remain.

Other than upgrading the kernel to v5.16.14-zen, nothing else has changed on my system. There are no network/USB messages in the journal, I’ve had my current phone for about a month (no major updates there, either). I’m running ethernet (no WiFi adapter installed).

Any ideas where I can start to troubleshoot this? Anyone else running scrcpy?

UPDATE: things are even worse now. System will not recognize the phone when plugged in via USB (tried all ports, only uses the connection for charging). I’ve already rebooted the phone - no change.

UPDATE #2: OK, I found a bad cable, so at least the phone is being recognized again. But it’s still randomly disconnecting.

Discovered scrcpy receently but for me everything works flawlessly.

It’s been better for me as well. I think it’s a combination of my phone and my ISP.
