sudo chown 777 data
after adding the external drive to btrfs filesystem, and later, after I reboot the system, the PC won’t boot into Endea
vour, even if I try to restore a snapshot, with or without the external drive connected. What should I do?

So…you added an external drive into your root filesystem? That seems like a terrible idea…
Have you filled it with data? If not, I would boot off the live ISO and remove that device from the filesystem.
