First post here! Heard lots of good things about this forum and am enjoying EndeavourOS. However, I’m still having problems with my PC AUX jacks. From what I gathered so far, it’s probably an audio chip issue (This is confirmed by the fact that my monitor headphone jack works, as I understand it DisplayPort doesn’t use the sound chip). I have a B650 Steel Legend Wifi with the Realtek ALC4082 audio chip.
So far, I have updated BIOS and installed both sof-firmware and alsa-firmware. Any ideas? Thanks
edit: emoticon to emoji convertion? thats it im installing manjaro /s
Which desktop environment are you using. If it is the same as the live environment (KDE). Then the simplest thing to check would to be whether or not the audio controller is enabled in system settings → sound.
I’ve got a couple that I don’t use.
lmao, I can’t believe that worked! Thanks a lot.
Not very intuitive though, I had to disable my headphones to be able to turn the sound card on. Whatever, it works now :>
