I want to play Half Life 2 but it doesn’t launch i tried switching proton versions but none worked, then i ran Steam trough the terminal to check for errors and i got this error

I have a nvidia GPU but i have had no problems and keep in mind i haven’t touched the system this just randomly happened today. I have verified the game files but still nothing works. The weird thing is the game launches with wine.
My games are installed on a NTFS drive but i haven’t had any problems with it either
Do you have lib32-nvidia-utils
installed?
Did you also check ProtonDB for any launch tips for each game?

To confirm:
-
It sounds like you are saying the games Half Life was working on this system before. But just stopped working?
-
If you go into the games properties in Steam, what proton version are you using?
-
Can you run from terminal to provide your system details:
inxi -b
Note Proton Experimental and Proton 10 has introduced major changes involving Wayland. It actually broke launching of my games. So I had to go back to Proton 9 and delete my game compatibility data to get the game (World of Tanks Blitz) to run again.
i reinstalled this multiple times but it didn’t work
every game that i want to run is either gold or native on the proton site so i’m certain that it isn’t this kind of problem
So i still don’t know what the issue was but after running multiple system upgrades trough the terminal, reinstalling steam and my drivers, the games managed to run again but like i said i don’t understand what the issue was
