I did a fresh install of EndeavourOS and installed steam after installing the 390xx nvidia drivers but it won’t open.
Specs: GF117M, Intel Haswell-ULT, intel i7-4500U
Have you tried to run
steam --reset
Also check to see if you have any updates
I tried steam --reset but it still gave me the same output
and I have updated and reboot still won’t open.
Does it work with the nouveau drivers?
All the issues I have found that are similar to yours are related to nvidia drivers
It does work with nouveau but when I try running a game, the game won’t open.
Which game? Is it using Proton or running natively? If its using proton have you checked protondb to see how well the game runs or if there are any workarounds needed to run it?
Did you also install lib32-nvidia-390xx-utils ? This is needed for 32-bit applications.
Im going to try everything again but my internet is not cooperating. The game was flowers le volume sur ete. I ran it before on another machine with the latest nvidia driver and it worked perfectly and protondb said so too.
I did but it still doesn’t work

Ok after looking up that game and accidently mistyping it the first time it looks like you may need to do a workaround. There are only 3 reports on that game, in the first they have used proton-ge, in the 2nd they had to install gstreamer bad plugins. And the last report they needed to use proton experimental.
