Steam not opening after installation

[leonorat@leonora-20aws0du00 ~]$ steam
steam.sh[56295]: Running Steam on endeavouros rolling 64-bit
steam.sh[56295]: STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically
steam.sh[56295]: internal error: /home/leonorat/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/setup.sh is missing, this runtime is invalid or corrupted

I have no clue what to do in this situation, can somebody please give me some advice?

Here you go.

i looked at the guide, and used the copy-paste, but got

[leonorat@leonora-20aws0du00 ~]$ ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common
bash: /home/leonorat/.steam/steam/steamapps/common: No such file or directory
[leonorat@leonora-20aws0du00 ~]$ ~/.steam
bash: /home/leonorat/.steam: Is a directory

what desktop environment are you using?

if you’re using KDE you should have an entry under menu->Games for steam. just click on that and it should launch.

it was there, but nothing happened when I clicked it:thinking:

.steam is just a settings/config folder. You don’t need to care about that at the start.

Try this from a terminal:

steam

If this doesn’t launch steam, then try:

steam-native

If that still doesn’t work, then let’s do this:

sudo pacman -Rs steam

Delete/Rename the .steam folder in your home folder and the Steam folder in .local/share.

Then follow the guide from scratch.
